The Collograph prints take reference from battle Armour and its form and decoration. Through examining the integration of its functional design combined with elements of Greek and Roman Mythology, specifically the works the Odyssey and Iliad by Homer. From this combination, a rich language of symbolism, form and meaning has evolved. My work re-examines this construct in a contemporary context using the 2D representation of Greek and other armour as a beginning to explore the idea of armour as a metaphor for narrative. Classical designs and decoration are adapted into contemporary forms using new and traditional materials.
