Bronwen Sleigh

Bronwen Sleigh studied at Cardiff and  Glasgow School of Art. Her work explores the relationship between the natural environment and industrial architecture. Her landscapes incorporate man-made structures such as roads, dams, pylons, oilrigs, wind farms, distilleries and factories. Her etchings present a fusion of form and subject. The crisp sharp lines of the technical structures are contrasted with a scratchy, pitted etching surface which is reminiscent of marks found on ageing industrial structures. She has shown widely both in the UK and internationally and underatken a number of major printmaking residencies. Bronwen graduated in June 2008 from the MA course in Printmaking at the Royal College of Art
